Plot

Set two years after the first film, the film begins with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Samantha (Kim Cattrall), Charlotte (Kristin Davis) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) meeting up with each other which turns into a flashback to how Carrie first meets Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda in 1986 in New York City. The movie then jumps to the present, two years after the events of the first film. At the Connecticut same-sex wedding of Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson) and Anthony Marentino (Mario Cantone), Liza Minnelli appears in a cameo to officiate the wedding vows and sings Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".

The four friends now have lives that are more stressful than before: All are married except for Samantha, who is now 52 and trying to keep her libido alive with hormones while dealing with menopause; Miranda quits her job having frequently been gestured to silence; Charlotte's two children are a handful, and she's worried that Harry is attracted to their bra-less nanny, Erin (Alice Eve); and Carrie's marriage to Mr. Big (Chris Noth) has settled down, though they differ on how to spend their spare time: she always wants to go out, he would prefer to stay home, feeding on take-out meals and watching television.^[3][4][5] For their anniversary, Carrie gives Mr. Big a vintage Rolex watch, and much to her dismay, finds a new television in their bedroom, which Big says they can use to watch old black-and-white movies together. Carrie is disappointed, as she hoped for jewelry as a gift.

For just one weekend, Carrie asks to spend some personal time in their old apartment, where she would complete writing her next column. Mr. Big enjoys this escape from their married life and asks to make it a weekly occasion.

Meanwhile, Samantha is approached by an Arab sheikh to devise a PR campaign for his business, and he offers to fly her and her friends on an all-expenses-paid luxury vacation to Abu Dhabi. While in Abu Dhabi, Samantha's hormonal drugs are confiscated under UAE law; her body remains unaroused by Australian men in Speedo swimwear. Carrie is crushed reading a negative critique of her new book on The New Yorker. She befriends her manservant and learns of his long distance marriage, as he could only afford to see his wife once every few months. Meanwhile, when out shopping with Miranda, Carrie runs into her former lover, Aidan (John Corbett) and agrees to a dinner date. In a moment of passion, the two kiss. Carrie deals with the question of whether or not to tell Big.

Miranda reflects on the events of the previous film, when her husband, Steve (David Eigenberg), told her about his affair and how, while it helped clear his conscience, was something that she was not so sure she wanted to know in retrospect given the months it took her to recover. Carrie opts to call Big from Abu Dhabi to tell him. Previously, in the television series, Carrie had an affair with the then-married Big while dating Aidan, ending their relationship.^[3][4]

Meanwhile, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda run up against a culture clash in the Middle East, as their style and attitudes contrast with Muslim society but none more than Samantha. While on a date with Rikard (Max Ryan), Samantha was detained for having sex on the beach, and claims to be kissing. With the Sheik's intervention, Samantha is released, leaving a permanent police record. The PR meeting is cancelled, and their luxurious perks are no longer paid for. With an hour till check out, or their next $22,000 nightly charge, they pack their bags for a hasty departure. After a few more mishaps they leave Abu Dhabi and arrive home safe in the USA. Carrie returns home to find their bedroom television removed. Mr. Big returns home with a punishing reminder—a black diamond ring.

The movie ends with a few scenes from their everyday lives; how Big and Carrie combine their interests; how Charlotte's nanny Erin turns out to be a lesbian; how Miranda found a new job where she is appreciated; and how Samantha stays exactly the same. In the final scene Big and Carrie are watching an old black and white movie where 'The End' appears on the TV screen.

Ketiga-tiga mereka terlibat dengan aktiviti-aktiviti sosial seperti merempit dan bersukaria.Walaupun begitu ada sesuatu yang menyebabkan Aiman tidak mahu berlumba lagi. Sehinggalah pada suatu hari mereka tidak dapat memenuhi tuntutan sosial mereka kerana masalah kewangan. Mereka terjebak dalam kancah Ah Long apabila mereka meminjam duit dari mereka. Mereka terpedaya dengan iklan mendapat duit dengan cepat telah terperangkap dalam perangkap Ah Long.
Dalam pada itu, mereka juga menghadapi konflik dalam diri mereka sendiri. Dalam mencari identiti mereka sebenar mereka tidak dapat lari dari kancah percintaan. Aiman jatuh cinta dengan gadis yang pernah ditolongnya sebelum ini. Sandra seorang gadis yang hilang kasih sayang setelah kematian ibunya. Bapanya yang mempunyai masalah dalam perniagaan juga berhutang pada jumlah yang banyak dengan Ah Long sehingga dirinya terjual .

Plot

The movie opens on Tien(Tony Jaa) sleeping with a torture collar around his head and arms. Then the guards throw water on his face and wake him up and take the collar off and he falls to the ground. Tien has chains wrapped around his forearms and the guards lift him off the ground and begin to torture him by smacking him with Kendo sticks across his body. The Guards start choking him with Bamboo sticks and Tien jumps in the air and dropkicks the guards and breaks free but his feet are cuffed together and it makes it hard for him to fight. While fighting the guards, one of them catches him off guard and hits him in the face with his stick and he falls to his knees and Lord Rajasena tells the guards to crush his bones. While Tien is tied down on a big rock they start to slam a wooden Battering ram, and hammer into his elbows and knees until they snap, and they finish him off by slaming one into his chest and face, leaving him a bloody mess.

While Lord Rajasena is having bad dreams because of this curse he has over him. Tien's dead body is tied up outside his palace and Tien's group of guerilla fighters come and try to get his body but the Crow Ghost (Dan Chupong) shows up and kills them all. Lord Rajasena wakes up from all the noise and begins talking with the Crow. Lord Rajasena wants the Crow Ghost to work for him but Crow Ghost refuses his offer and tells Lord Rajasena that he can remove his curse. The next morning all of the guards are standing around Tien's body and Lord Rajasena tells them to cut Tien's head off. Once they go to cut it off a man rides up on a horse and has a paper saying he may take the body with him, and Lord Rajasena gets upset. The man returns Tien's body to the Kana Khone villagers with Pim and Mhen there. Then the Kana Khone Village gets attacked but they manage to fight off the guards and save Tien's body. Master Bua who feels bad for letting Tien get hurt shaves his head and becomes a Buddhist monk. Pim starts chipping a rock remaking a sculpture of the ong bak head and brings Tien back to life by reincarnation. Pim Trys to help Tien up while singing a song and Tien gets frustrated and yells at her because he cant walk with his bones broken, so he uses a cane. Tien walks to the edge of a cliff crying and gets ready to jump off and kill his self because he failed to avenge his father but then Mhen talks him out of it. Then Tien with a beard starts trying to get back to normal with the help of Master Bua. Tien starts snaping his bones back into place and begins meditating by a waterfall and dancing with Pim. Meanwhile, Rajasena visits the Crow at his dilapidated temple in an attempt to remove his curse. Beckoning him inside along, the Crow reveals his true motive: to usurp Rajasena and claim his power as King. Rajasena tries to stab the Crow, who merely laughs, throwing him from the temple. Enraged, Rajasena orders his guards to kill the Crow, who dispatches them all with ease. Confronting Rajasena, the Crow launches himself at the King, decapitating him. Rajasena's severed head curses the Crow with a miserable fate, and the Crow, now King, merely smiles.

While Tien is meditating on a tree, he is ambushed by Lord Rajasena's guards. Defeating them, Tien races back to the village, only to find it a smoking ruin. Meanwhile, the Crow has taken all the villagers not killed in the fighting (including Pim) to the palace, where he uses them as slaves. Tien appears atop a huge statue, dressed in white and carrying Master Bua's staff. The Crow, demonstrating his infinite power, unleashes his dark magic and summons an eclipse, causing day to turn to night. In the confusion, Pim reveals herself as Tien's companion, and is taken to the palace by the Crow's guards. From the top of the statue, Tien watches helplessly as the Crow cuts Pim's throat. Enraged, Tien leaps from the statue and begins fighting his way to the Crow. Using swords, spears, and his bare hands, Tien slaughters the guards in a berserk bloodlust. Defeating the horde, Tien approaches the Crow Ghost, covered from head to toe in blood. Laughing, the Crow throws a spear at him, which strikes him through the chest. Tien falls to his knees, defeated, and as he closes his eyes, he remembers what Master Bua told him. Time seems to rewind to Tien atop the mighty statue, and when he opens his eyes, it is revealed to have been merely an illusion caused by the Crow's magic. Shocked at Tien's strength, lightning strikes the Crow as the eclipse is dispelled, knocking him from the palace dais and dispatching all the guards. The Crow flees as Tien approaches, engaging him in mortal combat. Picking up a spearhead, the Crow hurls it at Tien, knowing the same move had killed him during the illusion. Tien catches it easily with his preternatural instincts, and throws it aside. Throwing himself at Tien in a blind fury, the Crow is flung from the palace wall, impaling himself on an elephant tusk as he falls to the ground.

The film ends with Tien, Pim, and Mhen praying before the head of Ong Bak along with the rest of the village, as the credits begin to roll.

It was loosely adapted from the novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat. 3 Idiots stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Omi Vaidya, Parikshit Sahni and Boman Irani.

Upon release, the film broke all opening box office records in India. It was the highest-grossing film in its opening weekend in India and has the highest opening day collections for a Bollywood film. It also has the record for highest net collections in the first week for a Bollywood film. Within 10 days of its release, the film crossed the 1 billion mark in India and became the first film of 2009 to do so. The film also created a new box office record for a release in the last quarter of a year (October to December), breaking the previous record set by Ghajini. It is also the highest-grossing film to be released in the second half of the year (July to December), breaking the previous record also held by Ghajini.

3 Idiots has become the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in India^[3] and is also the highest grossing Indian film ever breaking the record made by the Tamil film, Dasavathaaram a 2008 Kamal Haasan starrer.^[4] The film set a box office record for the Indian film industry, grossing Rs 470 crore (US$ 100 million) worldwide.^[5] It was expected to be the first Indian film to be officially released on YouTube, within 12 weeks of releasing in theaters on March 25, 2010, but never got released.^[6] The film also went on to win many awards, winning six Filmfare Awards including best film and best director, and ten Star Screen Awards. Furthermore, it won 16 IIFA awards.

The film also uses real inventions by little known people in India's backyards. The brains behind the innovations were Remya Jose, a student from Kerala, who created the exercise-bicycle-cum-washing-machine, Mohammad Idris, a barber from Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh, who invented a bicycle-powered horse clipper, and Jahangir Painter, a painter from Maharashtra, who made the scooter-powered flour mill.^[7]
